It's important that you keep your employees happy, and for that to work out, you need to consider their comfort. Workplace amenities and employee comfort should be managed in a way that everybody is happy when they come to work.Taking breaks helps your employees to focus and remain productive in what they're doing, and that means you need to make sure that the break room reflects the company's values.
You want people to have a true break, so the break room is not a space for working, and it's not a space for even discussing work if you can avoid it. When it comes to budget, though, sprucing up the break room may be a bit difficult. You could probably afford a cheap dining table and some new chairs, but there are plenty of ways that you can upgrade your brake room on a more of a budget that still maintains the productivity of your employees and the chance for them to have a breather. Let's take a look at some ideas that will help you get started.

Pick out quality furniture. You can buy a cheap dining table and know that it's going to be of quality materials. Smaller businesses may only need one sofa or a couple of chairs, but bigger businesses will choose bigger dining tables so that they can put some food or drinks out to feed their employees and keep them motivated and productive. When you remodel, the very first place that you should spend your money is on good furniture because you want people to be comfortable if they're taking a break. This isn't the space for you to use weird shaped chairs so that they're not comfortable when they sit down.
Pull up the carpet. A break room remodel is much easier to stay on top of when you don't have carpeted floors. This is going to be a high traffic area and people won't be removing their shoes. Having a floor that's easy to clean and easy to maintain is going to be much easier than having a dingy carpet that overtime gets worn down to look like a wooden floor. You can get some budget friendly laminate flooring and that's quite cheap to install. You can always liven up the space with rugs if you want to.
Install a coffee machine. Regardless of the industry that you're in, having a good quality coffee machine saves people going to the local coffee shops and spending their money. You should also ensure that the coffee that you offer is free, creating an inviting coffee space with a coffee dispenser, a Creamer or an espresso machine and making sure that your fridge is stocked with creamers and coffee pods is important. Asking your employees to have reusable mugs instead of constantly restocking paper cups can save you some money. And it's going to save you a lot of money to have comfortable employees who want to stay with you, so offering free coffee is a good idea.
Use your branding to redecorate the walls. Liven up the space with pictures of the office team having fun on days out or on summer barbecues. It's nice to have good colours on the walls, but it's even better to have people in a relaxing space where they can see images of themselves relaxing together.
